EMM Group’s Executive Pastry Chef Thiago Silva Honored at ZAGAT’s “30 Under 30” Awards for New York City’s Food World Up-And-Comers

Thiago's DonutsEMM Group’s very own Executive Pastry Chef, Thiago Silva was recently honored for the 2013 Zagat: 30 Under 30 list in New York City this June.  Silva is responsible for creating the incredible desserts behind all EMM Group Restaurants including CATCH and Lexington Brass.

Now 28 years old, Silva began his career at EMM Group, owned by hospitality experts Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum, in 2009 as a pastry cook at EMM Group’s First Restaurant. He quickly climbed his way up the ladder, now overseeing the pastry and dessert departments for all EMM Group properties and events.

Silva was honored at the Zagat event in Williamsburg on Monday, June 17th at the Wythe Hotel where he prepared passed dessert for guests to taste is inspiring creations. In addition to the event, Thiago rang the NASDAQ opening bell with the Zagat “30 Under 30” award winners on CNBC, Tuesday, June 18th 2013.
